The ambitions are quite interesting yet strategic - as it will function as a private residence, as a retreat and potentially as a lodge in order to take advantage of a year round tenancy profile in a particulary unique location. Yes, the architect also plays this role. The formal logic and layout also afford the client a phased development model. The solution seeks to sit the project over 3 to 4 different levels as the initial basis for the heirarchy of the spaces. As a result, the architecture begins to frame activities distinct to a space, yet linked and even better as an extension to the outdoors; all the while, through its form, mirroring a mountain that graces the view to the South.
